Hey guys, I am looking to get a new laptop for the vlogs and I think I am going to get a MacBook Pro 15, but they are so expensive and I feel like I can get a similar speced PC for a lot less. Who has a MacBook Pro and what do you think of it?

Iv always had a pc and windows laptops The thing with a pc you can upgrade and make it better all the time and if anything fails on a pc you just buy the part that fails
but with mac if it fails its a all new device unless you pay evan more for apple care

You cant beat a Mac for multimedia so if your just video editing and things like that then go the extra. You also get a better return when you come to sell it. If you are wanting something more compatible and are on a budget then go for a PC.

Once I went Mac ... I never went back. Yeah and every time I've bought one I think briefly about the cost. But every single day it works fast and trouble free for years I think often about the value!

I question the value seriously using the cost to speed ratio..
PS: I'm casting my tablet to my big screen via my Android Nexus 9 and a Chromecast... mwahaha. No USB required. In all seriousness though, I'm in bed with Microsoft at work so.. we're on the bleeding edge of software and cloud development. It's tough they are late comers to the game, but extremely worth the cost in comparison. They beat Tableau in my world, but we also went with SAS to run parallel with MS Power Bi + 365 + Azure

I've always been a PC person since Macs are So expensive. But in my new high school it is all Apple products so I have to use a Mac. I am starting to like it just how I like PCs. But if I had to chose one I would chose a PC. PC for the win!

Macs can be pricey but in the end, it's totally worth it. Just don't be influenced by Casey's actions in regards to his MacBooks! Haha

I'm using Linux and have only used Linux on my laptops for the past 8 years. Before that I mainly used Windows. I did however have several attempts at running Linux, but reverted back to Windows when I was unable to to everything I needed to do. My employer is a MS partner and we do a lot of MS stuff, but it's also getting easier to access new MS things than before. My employer also have a VDI environment that I still need to use in order to do my travel expenses. The main advantage of using Linux is that I can configure it to behave exactly as I want it to and that makes my work day more productive than if I were using the standard company image. I also don't have to reboot on every single update, and I guess that saves quite some as well. But if something happens, I'm on my own. But I'm a geek, so I can usually figure things out. Lars
