Framing Helper
Before a Beme starts recording, we should see the camera output some way, so we can frame the shot accurately.
Right now there is no way of correctly framing a shot. Since you can not see the actual output of the camera, it's a guess whether you'll have your subject in frame. Also making framing difficult is that you guys simply took the iOS camera aspect ratio and you crop video on Android. I understand that this needs to be done, because the videos have to be uniform in some way...

The reason you cant frame the shot is to be honestly if you could frame thing then you would be only showing the best side of things so by not seeing what you take it what others would see Beme is the simplest and most unfiltered way to share your personal experience. Instantly capture real moments from the world around you with a simple gesture and without interruption. Get a global view of how friends, family and interesting people from places near and far honestly live their lives, and send them genuine reactions as you watch along.

I was thinking about just a semi transparent frame or something, then have the screen black as it does now. You have a workaround right now to switch back and forth between the camera app and Beme, but since Beme will crop the camera image it's very hard to judge what will actually end up in the shot. It's easier on an iPhone, since they made Beme directly for that sensor. This all comes back to the Android version just being a port of the iOS version. I've said it many times, that they should not be lazy and make a full native app. It would be way less buggy and have a way better user experience.
