Here's the rub you can quickly make when you want to throw some chicken on the grill. If you want a barbecue dish, simply sear the herb rubbed chicken as I showed you over direct heat. When you move it to indirect cooking after sear, brush your favorite barbecue sauce on both sides after about five minutes of indirect cooking.
Side note: I typically use hickory wood chips to my smoker box while cooking on the grill for pretty much everything.
Herb rub mix: 1 tablespoon sweet paprika 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon dried rosemary 1.5 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
