Can you see me now?
Many of you know that I finally had it dawn on me that people who did not follow me did not receive my video reactions or picture reactions. I had initially thought that users simply had their disallow reactions from non-followers turned on.
It turns out that Beme had a major server issue three months ago. The issue directly impacted me at the account level. I can't tell you how personal that kind of bug felt. I felt as if Beme banned me from building up or connecting up with any more of the community.
I contacted Stephanie at Beme who gave me the low down. I'm thankful to remmy84 , kozjegyzo , and danigirl for helping me test and validate before this conversation. I can also say that having a backup account helped too.
I'm not sure if my account was reset or what, but I'm back in business. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app (there's no log out ability in the app) in order for whatever patch Stephanie applied to my account to take. I've also connected with a few great Bemers that I always tried to, but could never say hi to.
Just so that you know too, the issue did not stem from me rolling back my app to a previous version. I am continuing to us 1.0.23 where the video quality is so much better.
Side note: I asked Stephanie about the video quality issues again. I received a canned response that Beme is always trying to improve their video quality. They appreciated my patience.. There was no response when I asked why the quality is better on previous versions.
